Far from the madding crowd, ‘The Wilderness’ is a holiday resort located amidst nature. It is an earnest attempt to offer the nature loving traveler a ‘home away from home’. Situated at a height of 9000 ft above the sea level, near the skiing town of Narkanda, the resort is owned and operated by a traditional family of apple growers. It is the unique location of the site that brought to life the idea of ‘The Wilderness’.
The Wilderness is not a typical tourist place but a destination that offers a lake on one side surrounded with thick cedar woods, cherry and apple orchards and a valley overlooking the majestic Himalayas on the other side. The owner seeks to share with the visitors the simple joys of living with nature by giving a complete holiday experience.
